STEM Fair *UPDATE*

Due to the rise in covid cases, we are modifying our STEM Fair plans. We will no longer be hosting an indoor event, but we have made accommodations for students to still experience STEM in three ways.

1. Hands-On STEM Project

On Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM in front of the office, we will be hosting a free Build-Your-Own-LED-Circuit project. PTSA volunteers will guide students step-by-step or you can pick up a kit to do from home. The project will take about 15 minutes and can be taken home when complete. One project per enrolled Discovery student. While supplies last. Sorry, we cannot accommodate siblings. Designed for grades K - 5. Upload a photo of your completed circuit HERE.

2. Have a STEM project? Two Ways to Share!

On June 1, bring your STEM fair poster to school and drop it off in the office. It will be posted in the hallways for all the students to enjoy. Please include your student's full name. Plan to pick up after school on Friday, June 3 in front of the school. Any projects not picked-up will be recycled.

You can also upload a photo of your STEM fair project to share with our Discovery community from June 1 through June 15. Upload HERE.

3. STEM-Themed Story Walk by Mrs. Gage

During non-school hours families may take a self-guided tour around school property as they follow along the pages of a STEM-themed story. Start near the stop sign on 228th Ave SE. Share a photo of your adventure HERE.
